How does an online dice roller work?

The SpinGenerator dice roller maps the browser's cryptographic random number generator (the same Web Crypto API used by Wikipedia, GitHub, and 1Password) onto the faces of a standard d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, or d20. Every face has exactly equal probability — 16.67% on a d6, 5% on a d20 — and the 3D roll animation runs about 1.2 seconds before settling, so it reads like a real Chessex die without the carpet hunt.

Perfect for D&D, Pathfinder, and board games

Roll a d20 for Dungeons & Dragons attack rolls, 2d6 for Catan resource production, percentile dice for Pathfinder critical-hit tables, or a single d6 to settle whose turn it is in Monopoly. Roll up to 6 dice simultaneously and track every result in the on-page history — no missing dice under the couch, no questions about a wobble.

Why Choose Virtual Dice?

Virtual dice offer several advantages: they're always available when you need them, they can't be lost or damaged, and they provide perfectly random results every time. Our algorithm uses advanced randomization techniques to ensure fair play, making it ideal for competitive gaming and educational purposes.
